Milwaukee Tool clarifies Cookeville plans

COOKEVILLE – Despite rumors and reports buzzing to the contrary since yesterday, Milwaukee Tool has clarified that it does not have plans to build a new manufacturing plant in Cookeville.

Kharli Tyler, Milwaukee Tool’s director of brand marketing, issued the following statement today.

“Recently, Milwaukee Tool issued a press release about a new manufacturing plant in West Bend, WI. As part of that release, there was mention of further expansion across many manufacturing and distribution facilities in the USA. We would like to provide some clarity on this statement as we have seen several articles that speculate that there will be a new power tool manufacturing plant in Cookeville, TN. Milwaukee does not have plans to build a new manufacturing or assembly plant in Cookeville, TN, but is considering manufacturing a vacuum line in Cookeville at an existing sister company location. There is no further information at this time.”

Milwaukee Tool is a Wisconsin-based hand and power tool company.
