Hutchinson-Tracy named director of animal shelter

COOKEVILLE – City Manager Mike Davidson recently announced that Jennifer Hutchinson-Tracy will be the next director of the Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter/Pet Care Campus.  Sarah Hawlik-Webb recently announced her intentions to resign after serving in that capacity for three years.

“Mrs. Tracy comes to us from Fayetteville, N.C., with an extensive background and experience in animal control and animal shelter management,” said Davidson. “She has encountered many of the same issues and challenges we have in our animal care environment, and also possesses the skills to assist with our marketing and education efforts.  We look forward to working with Jennifer and continuing the great work that Mrs. Webb has provided.”

Hutchinson-Tracy said she is very excited and eager to begin her duties.

“I was very impressed with the facility and the community,” said Hutchinson-Tracy. “Everyone I have encountered is very friendly and your city is fortunate to have the larger city amenities with a home-town feel.”

The Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter/Pet Care is jointly operated by the city of Cookeville and Putnam County.  It is funded by the city, county, other governmental entities in Putnam County, and private donations.
