Hospital foundation will double donations Tuesday

COOKEVILLE – A Cookeville Regional Medical Center nonprofit is matching all donations made toward patient programs on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation is asking the public to step up for “Double Your Donation Day.” All gifts made to the foundation will be matched up to $15,000.

Donations may be made to any charitable program or fund operated by the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. “Double Your Donation Day” is made possible by a pool of matching donors, including the foundation and CRMC board of trustees, The First Tennessee Foundation, CRMC auxiliary and several anonymous donors, hospital officials said.

As of 9 Tuesday morning, $2,100 had been raised.

“’Double Your Donation Day’ is such a wonderful way to stretch your dollar and help local patients coping with disease, sickness or injury this holiday season,” John Bell, foundation director, said in a release. “I am hopeful that the public will respond to this unique call-to-action to be a blessing to patients in our community.”

Donations can be made online at www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org, by calling (931) 783-2003 or by mailing a check to the CRMC Foundation, 1 Medical Center Boulevard, Cookeville, TN 38501. Mailed checks should indicate “Double Your Donation” or “DYD” in the note.

Gifts are tax deductible, and all donations go toward charitable programs and services. Gifts may be further restricted to any fund at a donor’s request. Funds include caring Hands, cancer care, Humble Hearts, Diabetes care, Mental Health Care, Palliative care, Pediatric care, Community Health Project, the Pink Ribbon of Hope Program, Angel Garden, Art for Healing Program, Pet Therapy Program, Patient Assistance Endowment Fund and more.

The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that looks to enhance the quality and availability of health care in the Upper Cumberland by offering charitable assistance to patients, supporting free or reduced health care services for the public and more.
