CLAY COUNTY – Log home builder Honest Abe, headquartered in Moss in Clay County, will open its doors Saturday, Sept. 19, beginning at 9 a.m. for a log raising and manufacturing tour, during which a small structure will be constructed.
The company occasionally holds such free events, in which attendees can spend time with drafting professionals, manufacturing staff and new home consultants as they learn about how log cabins and timber frame homes are designed and created. Families are welcome. Complimentary barbecue lunch will be served at noon, and afterward a tour of the manufacturing facilities will be conducted.
The log raising is held in a climate-controlled building at the Honest Abe Log Homes national headquarters/manufacturing complex on U.S. Highway 52 in the community of Moss, which is 10 miles west of Celina and approximately 25 miles east of Lafayette.
