Goodwill hosting job fair Jan. 23

Goodwill-hosted hiring event rescheduled from Jan. 16 due to weather

COOKEVILLE — The Goodwill Career Solutions center at 565 S. Jefferson Ave. in Cookeville will host a job fair from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, for four employers seeking to fill more than 100 positions in Putnam and White counties.

The hiring event was originally planned for Jan. 16 but was rescheduled because of severe winter weather.

Employers include TLD Logistics, Bledsoe County Correctional Complex, Metro Industrial and WISE Staffing. Openings include over the road trucking, correction officer, assembly, packaging, furniture delivery, home restoration and other positions. Rates of pay reach $15 per hour.

Representatives from these companies will be on-site and interviews are possible, so job-seekers should dress for success. Job candidates are encouraged to bring a resume, photo ID and their Social Security card or birth certificate.
