COOKEVILLE – You may have noticed a new name on the Cookeville skyline as the new First Horizon logo and signage replaced the First Tennessee name that has been prominent for decades.

First Tennessee officially rebranded as First Horizon as of 6 p.m. Oct. 25. The bank has not been sold, but with the purchase of Capital Bank earlier this year, First Horizon National Corporation, First Tennessee’s parent company, decided to align all of its businesses under the First Horizon brand.

“The name on our building is changing but unchanged is the pride we take in helping our customers as well as our commitment to Middle Tennessee communities,” said Carol Yochem, Middle Tennessee market president. “As First Horizon Bank we will continue to work hand-in-hand with our customers to understand their changing bank needs throughout their lifetime, instituting new systems to help our employees work faster and to better serve our customers. We’re excited about this upcoming chapter in the evolution of our bank’s 155-year history.”

Although the signage has changed, customers will not experience any changes with account numbers, routing numbers, checks, credit cards, etc. The website will be changing to firsthorizon.com. More information about the changes can be found here.
