Eight employers to participate in Goodwill-hosted hiring event Tuesday.
UPPER CUMBERLAND – The Goodwill Career Solutions center at 565 S. Jefferson Ave. in Cookeville will host a job fair from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, for eight employers seeking to fill more than 200 positions in Putnam and White counties.
Employers include Verizon Wireless, AutoZone, Five Star Food Service, Comfort Inn & Suites, Qualified Staffing, Senior Solutions Home Care, Bledsoe County Correctional Complex and Metro Industrial. Openings include cashier, cook, route driver, housekeeping, correction officer, caregiver, lumber stacker, office support and other positions. Rates of pay reach $15 per hour.
Representatives from these companies will be on-site and interviews are possible, so job-seekers should dress for success. Job candidates are encouraged to bring a resume, photo ID and their Social Security card or birth certificate.
