Cumberland Container honored at national conference

MIAMI –During the 2019 Spring Meeting, April 1-3, in Miami, FL, AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, recognized Cumberland Container for its 50thAnniversary.  Started in 1969 with five employees and a small amount of used equipment, Cumberland Container has grown to over 260,000 square feet of production and warehousing space with a workforce of over 85 dedicated employees and an incredible array of state-of-the-art technology.  

The Member Milestone program, started in 2017, was developed to honor the hard work and longevity of AICC member companies. Other honorees this year included:

  • 80 years: Wertheimer Box Corporation, McCook, IL
  • 60 years: Central Package & Display, Minneapolis, MN
  • 60 years: Landaal Packaging Systems, Flint, MI

Videos depicting the history of these companies were shown during the Spring Meeting General Session on Wednesday, April 3 and representatives of the companies were presented with plaques.

“We’re honored to be recognized by our peers and professional group for celebrating our 50thAnniversary, and this award is truly recognition of the many customers over the years that have chosen us to provide for their packaging needs,” said Mark Jared, director of Cumberland Container.  “We proudly serve our customers and look forward to what the next 50 years will bring our company.”
