Cookeville Children’s Museum opens WCTE / PBS Kids Exhibit

COOKEVILLE – The community is invited to attend the WCTE PBS-Kids Exhibit opening Wednesday, April 10 at the Cookeville Children’s Museum, located at 36 W. Second St., from 10 a.m. until noon. Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a Putnam County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. Admission is free from 10 a.m. – noon that day. PBS-Kids Clifford the Big Red Dog will be making a guest appearance starting at 10am.

The permanent PBS Kids exhibit room will feature multimedia interactive activities, games, books and a rotating hands-on experiment type activity, all related to PBS Kids educational content.

“The Children’s Museum is undergoing some changes and we felt strongly that we should be partnering with local community organizations on the exhibit space and content,” said Cookeville Children’s Museum Executive Director Patti Purdy. “The museum will feature exhibits from WCTE-PBS, The Bryan Symphony Orchestra, Rogers Group, and other local businesses and nonprofits.”
