Litewire LLC to open new facility in Warren County

IT services and data center company to create 66 new jobs

LitewirelogoMCMINNILLE – Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd, along with Litewire LLC officials today announced the new IT services company will begin operations in Warren County. The company will open a tier IV data center in the former A.O. Smith Building, located at 204 Red Road in McMinnville, creating 66 new jobs.

“It’s exciting to have such an innovative company locate to Warren County,” Boyd said. “Litewire’s decision to do business in Tennessee is a vote of confidence in our ability to support high-tech industries. By working to become the most aligned state in the nation when it comes to education and workforce development, we are creating employees who will be prepared for these kinds of jobs, as well as a pipeline of workers that can support the growth of companies like Litewire for years to come.”

“Litewire is proud to bring a multi-tenant world class tier IV data center staffed with a full managed IT services team to Middle Tennessee,” Litewire CEO, Marcus Hill, said.

Litewire offers managed enterprise IT services, data center colocation, private and shared cloud services, disaster recovery service strategies, network management and information security and training. At 285,000 square feet, Litewire’s Warren County facility is the largest potential data center footprint under one roof in the Southeast.

The Litewire infrastructure is completely modular, offering an unprecedented ability to scale based off of client density and demand. This will allow any size company, small business or large-scale corporation, to exist in the Litewire environment efficiently and affordably. The Litewire facility is also unique, because it houses the City of McMinnville Police headquarters making it the only data center in the world with a police station “onsite.”

“The circumstances of this announcement make this an even greater pleasure for the 40,000 citizens of Warren County in that a locally owned and operated company, Litewire, is now a major contributor to diversifying our own economy by adding a new dimension of highly technical employment to our region,” Warren County Executive Herschel Wells Sr. said.

McMinnville Electric System has partnered with Litewire to provide automated switching between two separate substations and has provided dual feeds for utility power.

“Supplying reliable power to a data center is a daunting responsibility that we at McMinnville Electric System take seriously,” McMinnville Electric System CEO Rodney Boyd said. “That is why we are pleased that Litewire has chosen McMinnville as the location of choice for their new state-of-the-art facility.”

Phase 1 construction is now complete and Litewire is fully functional with an initial footprint of 35,000 square feet.
