Biz Foundry, startup IvarFace to host 3-D print workshop

COOKEVILLE – The Upper Cumberland’s business accelerator, The Biz Foundry, and local 3-D print startup IvarFace will be hosting a hands-on 3-D printer workshop Saturday, March 29, in Cookeville.

Attendees will enjoy a high-tech learning experience using multiple 3-D printers, an automated, full-size 3-D scanner, talks on 3-D modeling software, breakout groups for hands-on learning and more. The event will serve as an opportunity to explore the ever-growing field of 3-D printing technologies and see how 3-D printing fits into art, engineering, manufacturing, medicine, education fashion. Lunch will be provided.

The event will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for students. Recommended age is 14 and up. Limited seating is available. Registration is available online at 3dCookeville.eventbrite.com.

The Biz Foundry is the business accelerator program of the Upper Cumberland Entrepreneurial Foundation, one of nine accelerators in the state partnered with the Governor’s LaunchTN program. The Biz Foundry is focused on building a startup community that nurtures local talent, innovation and entrepreneurship in order to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in the 14 region.
