Biz Foundry offers business and networking events

COOKEVILLE – The Biz Foundry will be offering three free networking and business events this week. Each event is free to the public, but reservations are required for the educational sessions.

Packs for Pints

The Biz Foundry invites the public to join them for the Upper Cumberland Young Lawyers Association’s (UCYLA) second annual Packs for Pints! Last year, the UCYLA, in conjunction with The Biz Foundry, gathered 99 backpacks and school supplies for children living with foster families in the Upper Cumberland.

With over 400 children living in foster care in the UC, this singular event can help to support a decent portion of those children.

“Our hope again this year is to bring excitement and joy to children in the Upper Cumberland at the start of the school year,” said Caroline Sapp, president-elect of UCYLA.

Red Silo Brewing Company has also teamed up to support the cause: Anyone who brings a backpack filled with school supplies receives a free drink ticket to use on any Red Silo pint. Bring as many backpacks with school supplies as you’d like as well as friends and family – all are welcome!

Elijah Thomen, co-owner of Red Silo, is excited to support this event again. “Last year we welcome over 50 area entrepreneurs and legal professionals,” said Thomen. “I’d love to see us double our backpacks this year!”

Get Productive with Google’s Digital Tools

Whether you’re a student, a job seeker, a parent, a volunteer, an employee or a business owner, digital tools can help you manage everyday tasks more efficiently.

Participants will learn how Google’s office productivity tools—including Gmail, Calendar, Drive and other apps—can boost productivity, tips and tricks for how to use them most efficiently, and creative ways to accomplish a variety of tasks for your professional and personal projects.

Join the Biz Foundry & SBDC for a Google Livestreaming event where the experts at Google will provide industry insights and knowledge for small businesses and startups. The event is open to everyone, but we ask that you RSVP first. Registration is available here.
