Averitt associates honored for longevity, safety

COOKEVILLE – Averitt Express recently honored several associates for their long-time service and dedication to safety.

Associate Betsy Martin, of Baxter, and Bobby Hix, of Rickman, were recognized for 25 and 30 years of service, respectively. Buddy Hallums, of Algood, was also recognized for 30 years of service.

They join the more than 1,000 active Averitt associates who are members of the company’s “Over 20 Team,” an exclusive group of associates who have served 20 or more years with Averitt

Associates Chris Robinson, of Cookeville, and Randall Hall, of Red Boiling Springs, were honored for 20 and 30 years of safety, respectively. Averitt has developed a culture of safety by measuring both vehicle and driver performance through a series of indicators. It also strives to have the safest trucks on the road, aiming for continual improvement through training programs and awareness campaigns.

Averitt’s Cookeville-area service center is located at 1199 Salem Road, and its corporate headquarters is at 1415 Neal St.
